Tiny music-based psychedelic bullet hell. One level, three minutes, many ways to get hit. How low can your score go?

Originally made in 5 days for Bullet Hell Jam 5 (because I started halfway through the jam period), and later updated. This is my first Phaser game. My original concept was more ambitious, as always, but I had to cut down on it to finish in time.

Somewhat inspired by Everhood (the demo of that game is on Itch, check it out here) and the entirety of Undertale Yellow.

PS: My high score is 237! Anyone who beats it gets a virtual trophy. My high score for the post-jam version is 8 hits. I'll give the first person to beat this hitless an actual award or something. It should be possible, but I've never done it myself (skill issue)

Install instructions

You cannot just open index.html and play the game. Due to the way Phaser and other canvas-based games work (i.e. due to same origin policy issues), you need to set up a local web server and access the file that way.

Guides to doing this can be found here and here.

I would just recommend playing the postjam version in the browser, above.

I like the aesthetics of this game and the concept, but I’m left wondering if running the game in browser is breaking it. Blocks DO hurt me when I remain still

The game is made with Phaser, so it's meant to be a browser game and the issue is definitely my fault! I'll fix it after the jam ends.

Edit: Hopefully fixed now.
