You dream of a place beyond this world.

Surreal point-and-click exploration game inspired by Yume Nikki. 100+ rooms, a few mostly optional puzzles, and minimal text. Meant to be unsettling. No jumpscares.

Instructions: Click arrows to move and items to interact with them. Collect diary pages.

Estimated time to complete is 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how thorough you are.

Made in a month for Dream Diary Jam 8 and the 2024 Neo Twiny Jam, using Twine (Snowman).

For the Neo Twiny jam, I'll admit this game is pretty different from the other submissions, but I guess it counts as interactive fiction in the same way that a graphic novel or interactive webcomic qualifies. I wanted to see how much text it was possible to omit from a Twine game. The answer seems to be 'a lot'.

Works somewhat on mobile, but audio may be broken. Desktop browser recommended (tested on Firefox and Chrome).

That was incredible! I got an ending with Dreamers hunters but i wonder how many endings are there... At some point in the game atmosphere and sounds were so full of emotions that i literally cried. A beautiful experience!

this was cute but in my vid i kinda got stuck with only one ending :D

Looks like that was a bug! It should hopefully be fixed now. Thank you for playing.

reminds me of those old flash games like the submachine, daymare, and covert front series, love it <3

Thanks! Flash-style point-and-click games were big inspirations for this. Two I personally like are Submachine Universe and Bars of Black and White.
